Day 17 – Keep it Simple

Today your class is, A Little Bit of Everything! For a level 1 class, try Fit Beginners #2

Grab your journal before you start class, and write your reflections as soon as you finish savasana. Remember, this class uses blocks and a strap. If you do not have blocks, use books, and substitute a soft belt for a strap.

Continue with the ‘I’m brand new to this pose’ approach.  Try using props when you usually don’t, take the simpler variation rather than the fanciest.  Or if there’s something that you usually avoid, take a chance and try it instead. We often do the same things repeatedly, even when it’s not what we really need because of a fear or resistance. I’ve learned that making a different choice that challenges me, even feels scary, often makes a massive positive impact and shift.  I get stronger, more clear and learn about myself each time I step out of my comfort zone.  Test the theory out and observe your mind during the process.
