This class should start to feel more doable, yet still challenging. If you are still struggling with a pose or part of a sequence, write about it in your journal so you can reflect on it later in the week. Remember, this class uses blocks and a strap. If you do not have blocks, use books, and substitute a soft belt for a strap.
Part of the practice of yoga is knowing that it’s a ‘practice’ which means there is no finish line. There is no end of the road where the work is complete. This can seem daunting without perspective. Life is work, satisfying work when we are able to be present and life is ever changing. The practice mirrors your life. There will always be something to work on whether on or off your mat, but you will have the tools to do so because of your practice. Stay motivated by knowing the work is always worth it. I have never gotten on my mat or sat down to meditate and afterwards wished I hadn’t bothered, the absolute converse is always true. Stick with it!
